Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner & Acupuncturist
Mike received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in herbal medicine from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine in China. He is a registered acupuncturist and TCM practitioner with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO). Mike teaches Chinese medicine and biomedicine courses at two private colleges, while also supervising students in their clinical training.
Recently, Mike completed an advanced training program at a top TCM hospital in China, focusing on TCM gynaecology, TCM internal medicine, and orthopaedics. This experience has further deepened his knowledge and skills in these areas, enhancing his ability to provide specialized care to his patients.
Additionally, Mike has been selected as a TCM educational program approval reviewer by the CTCMPAO, a role that recognizes his expertise and contributions to the field. This position involves evaluating TCM educational programs to ensure they meet high standards, reflecting his commitment to the advancement and integrity of TCM education and practice.
Mike is known for his considerate, diligent, and focused approach. He has spent 3 years learning from different acupuncture masters in China and abroad, mastering various techniques to treat a variety of diseases. With a strong background in anatomy and physiology, he locates acupoints precisely and minimizes risks. His research on herbal medicine allows him to create comprehensive herbal prescriptions.
Mike's experience spans treating internal medicine, gynaecological, paediatric, dermatological, and orthopaedic diseases. He is particularly skilled in fertility, menopause, menstrual regulation, pain management and ADHD.
In his spare time, Mike enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball and swimming.
