Alexandra (Alex) moved to Edinburgh, Scotland to complete her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy. Since graduating in 2017, Alexandra returned home to Ontario, and has been working in orthopaedic musculoskeletal clinics.
Alexandra has a passion for learning and has completed several acupuncture and dry needling courses, along with many manual therapy courses, inclusive of the Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Levels I-III, offered through the Orthopeadic division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Alexandra is always looking for the next course to take and is currently pursuing running injury, vestibular rehab, advanced dry needling and McKenzie Method (MDT) courses.
Alexandra has experience treating a variety of injuries. She will use her detailed assessment and analysis to find the root cause of your pain and dysfunction. She will utilize manual therapy techniques, exercise prescription, dry needling and education to target the structures to help strengthen and relieve symptoms. Alexandra strongly believes this approach, together with active participation, can prevent future injuries.
When she’s not caring for her patients and absorbed in continued education, Alexandra can be found painting in her studio, cycling or running, playing volleyball and hanging out with her husband and dog, Denali.
