Naturopathic Doctor and Acupuncturist
Dr. Jenny Henderson is a licensed doctor of naturopathic medicine in Ontario, where she lives and practices. Jenny has always had a lively passion for nature, appreciating and studying plants and animals. It therefore seemed completely natural for her to blend her family's heritage of conventional doctors and traditional healers with her love of nature, to become a modern Naturopathic Doctor.
Having completed her Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, Jenny entered the accredited 4-vear ND program at the Canadian College or Naturopathic Medicine. While at CCNM she gained valuable experience treating patients at the Robert Chad Naturopathic Clinic, and observing and working alongside experienced doctors. In addition, she spent a term volunteering her skills at the Parkdale Community Health Clinic, as well as completing the Naturopathic Doula course.
As an ND, Jenny strongly believes in the healing power of nature and the body's innate ability to heal itself, when the cause of illness is addressed. She uses natural therapies that are evidence-based and traditional, in supporting each person in overcoming health concerns, restoring health, and preventing illness. Such therapies include herbal medicine, good nutrition and a proper lifestyle, acupuncture, physical therapies, and counselling. It is her firm belief that absolutely everyone can find support and benefit in this model of medicine, especially when complemented with conventional care.
In her spare time, Jenny loves to spend time outdoors with her friends and family, hike, ski, garden, yoga, read, and craft.
